                    “All families are equal act” Bill 28, 2016

 

On September 29th, 2016 bill 28 was introduced.

 

This bill wants to remove the terms “mother” and “father” from of the “Children’s law reform act” and replace them with the words: “Birth parent” and “parent.”

The intent is to appease homosexuals who get assistance in reproducing. This means that a non-biological partner of a birth parent would be considered the child’s parent automatically without going through an adoption process. This means that a child could legally have four parents instead of two. You would no longer be considered the father of a child if you have provided the sperm, and no longer will you be considered the mother if you carried the child. They also want to remove the birth parents names from the birth certificate.
