Families

They desire to support families through a Family Tax Cut and more support for seniors and caregivers.  They plan on: improving the Registered Disability Savings Plan, improving First Nations water infrastructure, enhancing the Victim’s Fund and increasing Traveller’s Exemptions.

 

Community

They desire to make our streets safe through new laws to protect children and the elderly. They desire to invest in small public infrastructure for repairs and improvements to existing community facilities. They would like to promote more active lifestyles through ParticipACTION and its community-based physical activity and fitness programs.

 

Finances

They are focused on what matters to Canadians ‒ creating jobs, promoting economic growth, and ensuring long-term economic prosperity. They desire to create jobs through training, trade and low taxes. State that they will not raise taxes or slash transfers for health, education or support for seniors. They desire to eliminate the deficit by controlling spending and cutting waste.

 

Security

Standing on guard for Canada by investing in the development of Canada’s North, cracking down on human smuggling and strengthening the Canadian Armed Forces.

 

Farming and Fishing

The Conservative Party of Canada desires to develop a new Agricultural Framework Agreement, support the Canadian Grain Commission, strengthen confidence in the Food Safety System,. They plan on amending the Fisheries Act, to focus fisheries protection on fish, not farmers, fields and floodplains. They want to protect rivers, lakes and oceans that are home to our fisheries and extend support to Canadian forestry companies and other exporters.

“2.1

The Conservative Party of Canada is founded on and will be guided in its policy formation

Gun Law

Conservatives have gotten rid of the long gun registry.

 

Comments:

The conservatives don’t seem to be pushing as hard for black/white clarity of moral issues such as abortion and homosexuality. But they are still more conservative than most parties and are still defending people’s religious freedoms.  They support Israel, which we know follows Bible, they want to strengthen our Army so we can defend our borders, and are focusing on developing our own natural resources.
